Hard one...probably when I turned 16. Not because I got a car (heh, Hank the Tank!), no it was because my dad had scored me and my then boyfriend some pretty choice seats to go see a production of Phantom of the Opera. It was the first time that I felt like I was doing something entirely "adult." We had on theater attire and got all dolled up complete with a nice dinner. When the chandelier fell you could feel the air whoosh over your head. I'd seen dozens of productions on this particular stage and none of them quite transformed me to a different locale than this particular production. It was a magical birthday in every sense of the word.
